Nana Comfort Food Cafe
From Public Bathroom to hip Charity

The idea for Nana Café came from a couple of young ladies, called Katie and Yasmin, that joined forces with the Nanas, a group of retired women wanting to do something for their community and serve all classic meals at a reasonable price.
So after the success of a Kickstarter campaign, they were able to open their spot at Brooksby's Walk, in Hackney.

[

center]The idea of turning a former public bathroom restored into a coffee that is maintained by solar panels installed on the roof of the building is quite cool. But the coolest of the place is its team,_ really friendly_; the food is tasty and the atmosphere is relaxed and nice. Get in and if you go up to the terrace and get some sun while you wait for your english breakfast (there is also a vegetarian option with tofu sausages included in the menu) or their great sandwiches.
It’s also worth going to the bathroom and see how there are still remnants of the old public toilet, with a super old golden hand dryer. [/center]
